Streamlining Success: A Builder’s Perspective on APRTrac

Plum Creek Flyover

Lennar has been working with APR and APRTrac for many years, both as a developer and as a builder. It might be easy to guess the benefits of architectural control from a developer’s perspective, but APR also makes it easier and faster for us builders to comply with architectural requirements.

As a builder, time is money. One of the most significant challenges we face is the time-consuming nature of the architectural plan review process. Coordinating approvals from various stakeholders, managing revisions, and ensuring compliance with design standards can often feel like navigating a labyrinth. In addition, our construction managers move around from community to community, so APR’s commitment to effective communication is really key. Their inspectors will make a point of introducing themselves to the onsite construction managers and take time to educate them on the community’s particular design guidelines.

In addition, APR has developed a comprehensive solution designed to streamline the approval process. APRTrac acts as a tracking powerhouse, offering real-time insights into the approval status of each project. The APRTrac program gives us great insight into each home as it progresses. We can tell if the approval has been received, if it’s pending or approved, or if it’s denied. If it’s denied, we can ascertain the reason for that, and APR will work with us to find a solution.

APRTrac has been a game-changer for us, providing transparency, accountability, and most importantly, efficiency. One of the standout features of APRTrac is its ability to provide real-time updates on the status of architectural control approvals. With a quick glance at the dashboard, I can see where each project stands in the approval process, identify potential bottlenecks, and proactively address any issues that may arise. I’m excited for the pending launch of APRTrac 3.0, which will make it even easier to track our projects!

As a builder, accountability is paramount. APRTrac ensures that all stakeholders are on the same page. Each approval step is logged, time-stamped, and easily accessible, fostering a collaborative environment where everyone is accountable for their role in the process. This not only expedites approvals but also enhances communication and teamwork.

In the fast-paced world of construction and development, every advantage counts. Architectural Plan Review and APRTrac have proven to be indispensable tools for our team when we work in master-planned communities. As a builder, the efficiency, transparency, and accountability APR provides have not only streamlined our processes but also have contributed to the success of our communities.
